Abstract

House churches are popular among many mega churches worldwide as this method has the potential to increase membership. The belief in targeted growth and development is another benefit of engaging in house church ministry. This method of ministry can be suitably adapted to small churches for the same purposes of increased membership and spiritual development. Subscribing to the development, implementation and evaluation strategies of house churches could serve to enhance both nurture and outreach. This research analyses and evaluates the youth of the Seventh-Day Adventist house churches on the Island of Saint Helena with the sole aim of developing a homiletical model for the purpose of growth and spiritual development.
